A Little Motivation
Catapult Your Personal and Business Success! Here’s How…
Though I’m only a budding 28 year old, I realized a breakthrough mentality in my life and just had to share it with you!
If you’re a regular reader, by now you’ve heard my story of being a completely lost and depressed teen. You know the type that ate lunches along, cried most nights in bed and felt largely friendless? I had NO CLUE why these feelings of confusion and depression overcame me, or how long they would take up residence in my life, but they sure ate away at me.
From there, with a whole lotta faith and perseverance, I discovered the tools of business success in my tool box. I was 19 and attending college when I started working with a huge national marketing company. Life started to return. The recognition and achievements at my work was all I needed to start to turn my life around. Being lonely and small no longer served me – but BOY did that serve an important purpose.
The Million Dollar Secret to Overcoming Resistance
Have you been feeling very… stop and go lately? You are feeling an all time high one moment – motivated, getting stuff done, jazzed about opportunity. The next (almost within an instant sometimes) you feel just the opposite – discouraged, feeling like a loser, unsure of yourself. There is a resistance that just won’t let you stay on that “high”.
Once the awareness comes in that maybe there is resistance, we ask ourselves why is it so hard to do the smallest of tasks? Where is that coming from? Am I sabotaging myself from reaching my goals and what I truly want out of life? What can I do to get rid of this blockage?
These are tough questions to ask oneself. To look inward and fight for your life essentially. I honor your strength to find the answers to these questions.

“I’m negative more and more lately… I cry because I don’t know what else to do… I can’t seem to snap out of it… I’m not happy (though I know I have reason to be)… I’m so disappointed in myself that I can’t seem to find motivation to fix how I feel… I reach out and tell people how I feel but nothing changes – if anything, I just feel worse…”
Get Your Motivation Here: The Secret to You
Need a little motivation today?
We all wake up sometimes and just feel a little off. Maybe you try to do some soul-searching to see what the problem is, or maybe you shrug it off and try to ignore that quiet whispering. I do a little of both, but also try to read or watch something that will give me the confidence and motivation I need to have a kick-ass day.
Here is my secret to feeling empowered and ready to take the day on:
Why We Do What We Do, and How We Can Do It Better
I’ve shared a Tony Robbins video below with quite a few people in the past week – all sharings have been well received so I couldn’t resist passing it along to you as well!
If you know me at all, you won’t be surprised for me to share a Tony Robbins clip – he’s a great mentor of mine even thought we’ve never met. I did have quite an incredible opportunity to work for one of his companies at one time, but my path took me down a different road. Long before that, I had the help of his “Unleash the Power Within” seminar to teach me my most limiting belief – the one thing that held me back time and time again.
What Has to Be In Place to Attract Your “Other”?

“Starting at very early ages we all become elated at the idea that our soul mate or significant other is out there somewhere – we just have to find him/her. Attending weddings, watching romantic movies and hearing stories of how lovers met… it all solidifies this feeling inside of us – our desire to meet our match.
The process isn’t an easy one as you probably know by now. We have such high hopes starting with our early-year relationships. The more experience we have – the more relationship partners – the more complex it all becomes. I know plenty of people that have baggage from past hurt and whether we want to or not, that baggage gets thrown into a new relationship unless we do something about it…

“I love December as it is a month for serious reflection. January is great for inspiration and kicking ourselves into high gear. Somewhere in the middle of this spectrum we need to find a quiet space to clear our conscience and determine what we really want for the new year ahead. Today I hope to provide some guidance on how to do just that.
The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost
In college at the University of Arizona, I took a Graphic Design course by a really great professor. One of our assignments was to take a poem or song and integrate it into a story book. The words were the lyrics and we were to add images that they text lay on in a artsy way.
I chose the poem by Robert Frost written in 1915 titled “The Road Not Taken”. I bring this up because I was recently digging through old boxes and found this storybook that I designed 7 years earlier. I flipped
through the pages, about 12, and remembered what that poem meant to me at the time…
When I entered college I was just snapping out of my “darker” teenage years. Man, those were tough. And as you know, I even wrote a book about that time for me called Rescuing Me: A Teen’s Journey From Lost to Found. During those years, many times, I felt as if I was standing at a place in the woods with a fork in the road just ahead.
How to Survive the Loss of a Love
Have you heard of the book, “How to Survive the Loss of a Love” by Harold H. Bloomfield, M.D., Melba Colgrove, Ph.D. & Peter McWilliams?
This very simple, yet extremely powerful, book was written over 40 years ago and I’ve read it multiple times. In fact, every time a friend or family member has experienced loss, the first thing I do is go buy this book for them.
It was a fluke how I heard about it years ago, but I’m so glad I did. This book takes you through the journey of the 3 phases of loss: Surviving, Healing, Growing.
The Introduction:
as natural as the healing
of a physical wound.
Let the process happen.
Trust the process.
Surrender to it.
An AMAZING Blog I Stumbled Across
I am constantly looking for others that share in my passion to help others by sharing their wisdom and their life experiences. I have a few I’ll be sharing with you over the next few months. This blog in particular is new, but POWERFUL.
The domain says it all: FEELING THEN HEALING — http://feelingthenhealing.wordpress.com
Don’t we all go through this experience of FEELING then HEALING? When going through moments of heartache OR bliss – we MUST FEEL first. We soak in the most exhilarating times and the most hurtful times. Either way, whatever our experience, we take the feeling deep inside ourselves and lock it in. We can then draw upon this AMAZING force of emotion and past experience to help propel us into our best future.
This blog I found – about Standing in the FIRE Of Life – calls us out. Calls everyone of us out to be our greatest self. But, not in a egoic way.
