A Little Motivation
Truth: Your Ultimate Ally
We know… deep in our gut what our Truth is. We ultimately can’t deny it. We can try to cover it up, justify it, hide from it – but it will come back to us one way or another. Only you can know what your Truth is. The question is, what are you going to do with it?
When we hurt – over a career change, a relationship loss, a deep questioning from within – we tend to lose ourselves and that Truth momentarily. Your mind starts playing “what if” games with you… “What if I don’t get another job?” “What if he was the love of my life?” “What if I never come back from this change?”
You will. You have every tool inside of you to handle whatever is plaguing you with doubt and fear. You have been prepared your whole life for this. The answers are within. You just have to listen.
Time to Grow Again: The Messengers, How I Take Advice from Others and Coming Out OK On the Other Side
With the ebb and flow of life comes periods of time where we are in deep conflict; when two long roads are in front of us and we are desperate to figure out which one we should choose. It is natural to turn to our closest friends and family – always the ones who will judge us least and who usually offer sound advice. I have been at such a place many times in my life and I expect to be there many, many more times ahead.
Over the past ten years, I believe I have figured out a pretty solid plan when stuck and seeking answers. Today I wanted to share some of the strategies I implement when facing the “abyss”.

Conscious Divas Post: Three Phases of Enlightenment to Reclaim Your Bright Future
To make sure you don’t miss out on powerful growth messages that I’ll be posting on the Conscious Divas website, I’ll post a teaser paragraph or so here, then provide a link where you can read the full article. Enjoy!
…It has now been over two years since the economy took its turn. Many houses in neighborhoods rest vacant, couples are torn apart from stress levels never imagined and individuals are left wondering how to get thawed from their frozen state. Fear overcame us all, just from a different set of circumstances.
In order to get ourselves back on track we must step through three phases of enlightenment. The first is to reconnect with our Self by remembering our core values, strengths and goals. Only by doing this can we move into the second phase which is to see past our fears. When we finally make this shift, we will be able to look into our future once more with purpose and excitement. Our third phase is to take action. Once we take action we are reminded of our worth. It is when we feel worthy that the strongest forces in the world can no longer stop us.
How I Gained Work Experience, Achieved Promotions and Keep Getting Job Opportunities
When we are little we all have ideas about what we want to be when we grow up. Both my parents were awesome entrepreneurs. When I grew up, I just wanted to be responsible and successful like them. I do believe this gave me an advantage because I didn’t have any expectations of what I should be – I had the freedom to decide. The job market was my canvas.
I started working when I was fourteen as a dishwasher for weddings. While hundreds of guests were dressed up and dancing under the stars, I was in the crazy hot kitchen spraying down dishes and trying to walk away that night with the least amount of food pasted all over me. Not exactly fun but I didn’t hate it either. I was just starting my work journey and open for anything.
The Life-Changing Powers of Confrontation
You already know exactly what I’m talking about. I don’t have to tell you what “confrontation” means.
I’ll start by admitting to you all that I think confrontation is one of the most difficult things to do, for me. It would be so easy for some people to shove the past under the rug, move on, write it off – but not for me. Some say we have a “contract” with ourselves before we come to live on this planet. A contract we must fulfill or we come back and do it again until we get it right. I don’t think I believe in all that, but if it is true, then my biggest feat is to stand up for myself, confront my fears and stand in alignment. Strong, honest, pure.
Q&A: I Want to Start Writing and Helping Others, How and Where Do I Start?
I received a question from a reader who was interested in writing. She saw this site and what I am trying to accomplish through my writing. She wanted to know what she could do to get involved, start her own thing, and help others. I know many of you out there are in a similar boat – with that stirring inside. I asked her permission to share snippets of our back-and-forth conversation because I think it would be valuable for you to read.
Question: I want to start writing but I don’t know what to do or how to start. Help?
My answer:
Hey girl – Writing is the BEST!! Let’s first explore what you would want.
There are many options that can get you feeling like your really doing something great and helping people, or just even provide a quick side project to get started.
How I Stay Healthy + Small Exercises at Home To Feel Better About Yourself
Do you ever feel sluggish or just not quite yourself? Maybe it’s been weeks or months (or years?) since your last serious workout? Maybe it’s time for a change?
We all get to a point eventually where we internally say, “Enough!!!” Or, your body will say “Enough!” and you won’t have a choice but to make your health a priority.
Below I hate a list of things I do to stay healthy plus a few ideas for exercises you can do at home to feel better about yourself.
How I Stay Healthy
I made the choice to eat well. I eat a big salad about four times a week, in addition to my regular sized dinner. This is like a super salad of organic veggies and it tastes amazing. I’ll add in lots of lettuce (greens are essential to health!), shredded carrots, avocado, celery, dried cranberries, snow peas, orange bell pepper, broccoli and cucumber. Sometimes I’ll add in other goodies like sunflower seeds or almond slices. I just eat this massive salad and my body screams, “YES” the whole time.
Setting Goals to Improve Your Self-Confidence & Get More Out of Life
No one is born knowing how to set goals or how to achieve the things they desire in life. Like with anything else, goal setting is an art that must be learned and mastered.
If you played sports at any point in your life, you have a great foundation for goal setting. You’ve learned how to be a team player, strategies to win the game and you experienced the celebration after the win. Some of you set goals to get an A on a test, or to get into a particular college, or to land your dream job – this is all great!
On the other hand, there are many people who have not been raised in that environment and as a result, don’t know or understand the power of goal setting. I am here to hopefully open your eyes about this concept – it can truly change your life in a positive way – helping you get closer than you ever dreamed to achieving all the things you want in life.
Pauline Victoria Aughe’s Story of Seeing Her Disability as a Gift: From Lost to Found
Every once and while, we come across a person who stops you in your tracks. You become so inspired, filled with hope, feeling love and courage – so many emotions all at the same time. Most often, you do not understand why this person has such a hold on you, but you know you’re forever changed because of the lessons you’ve learned. Pauline Victoria Aughe is such a person. I had the pleasure of meeting her through the publishing company I work with as she is working on a book to be released this year with power-house motivational speaker Les Brown. But she is certainly not relying on that for success – she is well on her way to achieving any and all dreams she can think of. Pauline, thank you for your amazing spirit, courage, love, and pure heart. We ALL look up to you.
And now, Pauline’s story…
